The few people who knew what had happened stopped by to say goodbye to Harry. It was not unusual for him to go for a ride between shows, sometimes with Rosalind by his side, so nobody else noticed when he saddled his horse. Rosalind's horse had been loaded, and led away by Alma. With a final kiss, Harry stepped up and onto his saddle. He looked back once while he was riding away. To the East, as everyone would tell anyone who asked.

Rosalind had not told Harry about the actual dream she had had almost a month ago. She had not been able to clearly see what was going to happen, but she knew that it was going to be something horrible. She would almost die, and Harry would leave. While the actual details were a surprise, what she had dreamed about had come to pass. She would have been killed when the two who were now dead were done with her. And Harry was leaving. She had also not told him that her dream had made her stop taking a morning sip of her child preventing potion.

She was filled with joy at the idea of the new life growing inside her, and at the same time she was filled with sadness that their daughter would never know her father. She went back to her work tent. She had to maintain the appearance of normalcy. The next morning, when the two bodies were discovered, was going to be anything but normal.
